Pre-Election Survey Preliminary Findings (2018 By-Election)
According to the findings only 48 % of citizens in by-election constituencies know that the election is happening in November and only one third of population in by-election constituencies know the voter list display in July. Therefore, PACE really concern on voter turnout for election day and asked the UEC, Political Parties and CSOs to promote public awareness and involvement in coming by-election.
PACE held the Press Conference of pre-election survey preliminary findings at Park Royal Hotel, Yangon on July 13, 2018. the objective of the releasing the preliminary findings is to inform the electoral stakeholders about public awareness and opinion towards coming by-election.
